CSS-driven backdrops that animate or sit static behind the surface. Each preset is dark-mode aware and respects prefers-reduced-motion. The chosen background paints behind any solid colour or uploaded image you've also configured. Each tile previews a fresh random palette — your saved colours and texture live on the Options tab.

∅ None Solid colour or uploaded image only — no dynamic backdrop.

Aurora blobs Three brand-tinted blurred circles drifting on a soft tinted backdrop. Calm, premium feel. Best for hero / page-level backgrounds.

Mesh gradient Static multi-stop mesh of brand colours layered with conic gradients. No motion — quiet but interesting.

Aurora bands Wide angled colour bands sweeping across the surface with a slow drift. Reads as soft northern lights.

Dotted grid Subtle dot pattern on a flat backdrop. Adds texture without competing with content.

Diagonal lines Soft diagonal stripe pattern. Quiet structural texture for cards and section bands.

Fine-tune the selected background, paint a custom palette, and layer an optional texture overlay. The live preview above updates as you go.

Animation Freeze movement — stops the keyframe animation on this preset (blobs / bands stay where they're first painted). Useful for marketing screenshots, low-power devices, or visitors who find motion distracting.

Pattern

Custom colours

Override the brand-token colours each preset uses with up to three custom hexes. Unset slots (shown ∅) fall through to the brand accent. Colour 1 is the primary glow, Colour 2 the secondary accent, Colour 3 the tertiary highlight.

Randomize on every page load Colours — ignores the slots above; picks a fresh brand-friendly palette each render so the surface re-tints every visit. Positions — blobs / gradients / bands spawn at fresh coordinates each render.

Light-mode tone

Light-mode pastel strength — softens whichever colours are in play (slots above OR a randomised palette) when the visitor is viewing the site in light mode. 0 leaves the colours at full saturation; 100 drops them into a soft pastel band (cream / blush / mint territory). Dark mode is unaffected.

Texture overlay

A texture pass that paints over the base background AND content (subtle by default; click-through). Compose with any base background or use standalone over a solid colour.

∅ None No texture overlay.

Noise grain Subtle SVG fractal-noise sandpaper texture across the whole surface. The viibeware-recipe overlay — sits at ~3% opacity so content stays crisp.

Scanlines Faint 2px horizontal scanline pattern at ~1.5% alpha. CRT / film-still vibe; pairs well with bold heros.

Linen weave Crossed two-direction stripe pattern reading as a soft fabric weave. Adds material warmth without competing with photography or typography.

Vignette Radial darken from the corners — focuses the eye on centred content. Strong on heros, subtle on cards.

Crosshatch Two-direction diagonal lines forming an editorial crosshatch. Ink-on-paper feel for long-form pages.

Dot weave Tiny dotted lattice with a soft falloff. Reads as halftone newsprint at a quiet 4% intensity.

Texture knobs

Fine-tune the texture's scale and how strongly it reads.

Scope

Where the texture lays down. All rides over backgrounds AND content for a consistent surface finish. Background only tucks it under the content (cards / typography stay clean).
